3. Analytics in detail
When enabled, Google Analytics 4 sets cookies typically named _ga and _ga_<container-id>, generally lasting up to 2 years, to distinguish returning visitors and measure usage in aggregate. This only happens after you accept the Analytics category — Google's Consent Mode is initialised with analytics denied by default, before any choice is made.
4. How consent works
You choose per category — nothing is bundled, nothing is pre-ticked.
"Accept all," "Reject all" and "Preferences" are shown with equal visual prominence — no button is styled to be more tempting than another.
No non-essential script (Analytics) loads until you explicitly grant that category.
Your choice is stored for 12 months and applies across the site; if this policy or the categories change, you'll be asked again.
You can change your mind at any time — the "Cookie settings" link in the footer, and the button below, reopen the same choice panel you saw on your first visit.
